Honda CBR600RR fault codes & FI-light blink codes

Look up a Honda diagnostic trouble code, or decode the FI (check-engine) light blink pattern, and see what it means, why it triggers, and what to check. Documented from the factory ECU firmware, not guessed.

What Honda DTC and FI codes are

When a Honda PGM-FI motorcycle detects a fault, it stores a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) and turns on the FI (check-engine) light. You can read the codes two ways: the light blinks the number (long flash counts ten, short counts one), or a diagnostic tool reads them out.

The blink gives the major code (the system). The exact sub-fault, like 23-01 versus 23-02, comes from a tool. Every code below links to what it means, what triggers it, and what to check first.

Popular codes

Compatibility varies by model and year. These are documented for the Honda CBR600RR; other Honda models may share a code with a different meaning. When a scan tool or live-telemetry device helps, we say so.
